Diet Reset After Thanksgiving
Groan! If you over indulged this Thanksgiving holiday, whether in Phase 1 of the Ideal Protein program, or in maintenance, here are some tips to get back to balance:
Don’t beat yourself up – reflect on how you can make better choices next time, following the program principles.
Re-focus on the strict Phase 1 protocol – this will help you resist the left-overs or continue to indulge once that sugar switch has been flipped.
Don’t keep eating carb and sugar laden left overs. Give them away or have your family keep them out of sight. Enjoy the turkey and left-over low carb vegetables, and salads.
Up your intake of water, and stop imbibing any “holiday” alcoholic beverages like eggnog and grogs.

After a few days of “re-set” you’ll feel much better and be ready to face the holidays ahead by staying on your program, and not gaining any pounds in maintenance.
